FORBES - I think old houses, and the people who love them, are fascinating.
Villa Serenity, a magnificent mansion perched on a steep hillside on Mykonos, the Greek Island known for its gorgeous beaches and vibrant and chic nightlife, combines five-star hotel luxury amenities with the best qualities of a sprawling family vacation compound.
The Villa, completed in 2022 is the property of Nicolas Treppides, a Cypriot entrepreneur who recently founded Moneygate.com. Until now, he has used it as a family getaway and rented it to guests for $10,203 (€9,500) a night during the off-season and up to $26,846 (€25,000) during peak season per night, which includes the services of the staff. This week he announced that he is putting Villa Serenity on the market for $24.7 million (€23 million).
“Serenity Villa is the first villa on Mykonos to be like a five-star hotel,” says Elpida Kennedy of Kennedy’s Group, who manages both the rental and the sale of the property. “It has the amenities, the staff, the luxury and, it is in the island’s best location. It is never windy there.”
The protected south side on "the Island of the Winds” is calm, a respite from the stiff sea breezes that have scoured the rocky island of Mykonos bare. Psarou Beach and Villa Serenity are tranquil, sheltered from the wind.
